Today's the big day! People seemed to like the liveblogs we did of the two federal election debates, and so we'll go for the hat-trick by blogging the election results this evening.
In case you didn't see the invitation we posted on the blog below, or the Facebook invitation, we're having an election-watch party tonight, and we'll be blogging from there with friends, food, and drink. Come on by if you're able.
On to the main event, and remember, you can comment in real-time by logging in to ScribbleLive here.
Previous: Come to This Magazine's Election Watch Gala
Next: A final hearing

I cannot believe that the people have not seen through Harper and his hidden agenda policies to pad the pockets of the rich and to take away from the poor and the middle class. If we truly care about Canada, we would have voted this one out, if not for ourselves but for the sake of the Environment and the Economy! God, let it be a minority, at least!!!

last election I voted at an advance polling station. When I put my ballot in the box, they said I wasn't allowed to put it in myself and that it was now a spoiled ballot. They said that they would have to cancel it out later. I said " how do you know which one is mine?" They said " we can tell" THAT'S WHY I DON'T VOTE!!!!

I have always been a staunch liberal, but for this one time I voted for Stephen Harper. Who in their right mind would cast a vote for a political party promising to impose a carbon tax on the countries voters? As consumers, everything we use in our daily lives comes to us via transportation. Either ocean liner, rail, air, or highway. Each of the above modes require fuel, and to promise an increase on the cost of delivering goods, is absolutely absurd. Give you head a shake Stephane! Give you head a shake, Liberal party! Wake up and smell the coffee. We don't need more taxes in this country!!! We are already taxed to death. It was with great reluctance that I humbled myself to vote to the tories, but...what choiced did I have? Certainly I would never support the agenda of the NDP, or the Green Party. I hope this lesson is well taken by the Liberal Party of Canada, and you get a leader soon, who has at least a little bit of common sense!!!

Once again,as in 2006, we Canadians have "shot ourselves in the foot" so to speak. Nothing is going to change while Harper et al runs HIS show. As for his Deputy Minister in Central Nova he will remain his first and foremost YES man. Thank God we have politicians like Bill Casey who stand up for the people in their ridings even at the expense of getting kicked out of Caucus. Clearly with Harper its "Don't do as I do, Do as I say. What a waste of tax payers money just to prove he can still run a Minority Government.
