1. Opening

a) BAILEY'S BILLIONS
ON - Friday, August 5th
http://www.baileysbillions.com/

It's a dog's life, especially when Bailey ('TANGO'), a most unusual golden retriever, inherits a billion-dollar fortune from his elderly mistress, Constance Pennington (JACKIE BURROUGHS), an animal rights philanthropist. Bailey is a dog who can talk, but only to his shy keeper, renowned animal behaviorist/communicator Ted Maxwell (DEAN CAIN), who is named in Constance's video will as guardian and manager of Bailey and the funds. As Ted and Bailey communicate in the language Ted refers to as "Doggish," it appears Bailey has a lot to teach his human companion. And when Bailey begins his duties as CEO of Constance's Animal Rights and Research Foundation (ARRF), one delightfully hilarious "faux paw" leads to another. The cast includes TIM CURRY, JENNIFER TILLY, SHEILA McCARTHY and KENNETH WELSH.

b) HORLOGE BIOLOGIQUE
QC - Friday, August 5th
http://www.tribute.ca/synopsis.asp?m_id=10964

A group of friends in their thirties is confronted with the imperatives of the biological clock. Should they give up baseball, moose hunting and womanizing to become parents? Should they be more like their friends who are already settled down? What do you do when you realize your youth is a thing of the past?

Remember...1st Rule of Film Club: Tell Everyone About Film Club!

Thirty-eight years and still going strong, THIS Magazine is one of Canada's longest-publishing alternative journals. Founded by a gang of school activists in 1966, and originally called This Magazine Is About Schools, the modern-day THIS focuses on Canadian politics, literature and culture but, in keeping with its radical roots, never pulls punches. Subversive, edgy and smart, THIS is the real alternative to that. Visit THIS Magazine's new-and-improved website http://www.thismagazine.ca!
